Overall Duties: Supervisor of Facilities and Grounds is
responsible for planning, development, management and
technical assistance of facilities and grounds of the
Chillicothe Board of Education. This position reports
to the Superintendent.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises and evaluates building maintenance
operations and staff.
2. Supervises and evaluates landscape maintenance
operations and staff.
3. Supervises and evaluates custodial services
operations and staff.
4. Develops and communicates procedures to acquire
services from Facility Management Services.
5. Plans for and oversees construction and
renovation of buildings and sites.
6. Plans for and implements evaluations of district
facilities.
7. Responds on a 24-hour basis to emergencies
involving school buildings and property.
8. Administers the districts asbestos hazard
maintenance program.
9. Coordinates the preparation of bids,
specifications, project documents and budget estimate
for district capital improvement projects.
10. Serves as a district safety representative.
11. Oversees and implements Facilities and Grounds
Department safety procedures.
12. Coordinates facilities and equipment inspections
for health and safety requirements.
13. Oversees snow removal from district grounds.
14. Maintains plans, blueprints, specifications and
other information for district buildings and sites.
15. Monitors the district energy management program.
16. Administers the district security procedures.
17. Plans for, establishes, and administers a
preventive maintenance program for district sites.
18. Ensures that all buildings and sites meet
standards of health and safety.
19. Prepares various reports for other
administrators and the Board.
20. Develops inservice programs for staff.
21. Oversees the budget developed for facility
services.
22. Follows established Board policy and
administrative regulations.
23. Assumes such other responsibilities and performs
duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
