Professional Registration certificates for the following:
School Business
Administrator
School business Fiscal

All Professional Registrations require the member provide evidence of following general requirements:
Completed application
Application fee of $15.00
Copy of job description from current employer
Copy of organizational chart from current employer
Member must have been an active member of OASBO for the three most recent preceding years. (OASBO will verify membership.)
Copy of college/university transcripts or CEU certificates, if applicable
Copy of state issued license, if applicable
Required experience in current position as indicated on the application
Favorable recommendation letter
Possession of a Superintendent’s license and five years satisfactory experience as a school administrator in charge of business affairs on a full time basis, OR
Possession of a Treasurer’s or Business Manager’s license, Masters degree, and five years satisfactory experience as a Treasurer or Business Manager on a full time basis.
Completion of 18 semester hours in the following areas (combination): General and Cost Accounting, School Law, School finance and budgeting, School Plant Planning, General School Administration, School Business Management, Merchandising/Marketing, Food Service Management, Transportation Management, Labor Negotiations, Office Management.
A School Business Fiscal Officer and/or Business Manager registration shall be granted upon evidence of the following:
Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of three years satisfactory experience in the position on a full time basis
Possession of an Associate’s degree and a minimum of five years satisfactory experience in the position on a full time basis
Candidates that have no degree shall have seven years of satisfactory experience in the position on a full time basis and shall have completed 30 semester hours of liberal arts requirements and 10 semester hours of coursework in the following areas(CEU’s may be used in place of semester hours. Three CEU’s equal one semester hour and 10 contact hours equal one CEU.):
Business Manager: Collective Bargaining, Cost Accounting, Data Processing, Finance, Statistics, Labor Relations, Office Administration & Procedures, Office Supervision Management, Psychology, Public Speaking, School Law, Management & Tax Structures
Fiscal
Officer: Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Cost Accounting,
Data Processing, Finance, Basic Accounting, Statistics, Business
English, Office Administration & Procedures, Office Supervision
Management, Psychology, Public Finance, School Law, Tax Structures
A School Business Director registration shall be granted to those administrative specialists in the areas of Maintenance, Food Service, Transportation, Finance, Classified Personnel, Communications/Public Relations, Purchasing & Warehousing, Data Processing/Technology, Operations, Buildings & Grounds, and other appropriate areas.

A School Business
Official registration shall be granted to those administrative
specialists in the areas of Buildings & Grounds, Food Service,
Transportation, Maintenance, Classified Personnel, Operations,
Purchasing & Warehousing, Data Processing/Technology and other
appropriate areas. This designation will be awarded to those
specialists who do not qualify for Registered School business
Administrator, Registered School Business Fiscal Officer, Registered
School Business Manager designations.
Candidate shall have five years of satisfactory experience in the position on a full time basis in a supervisory position in the specialty area
Candidate shall have completed four semester hours in specialty area and four semester hours in related general supervision. CEU’s may be used in place of semester hours. Three CEU’s equal one semester hour and 10 contact hours equal one CEU.
